Tips On Finding Your Wedding Venue
Once you and your fiance' have decided on a wedding date and a budget, the task of finding the perfect venue is next. Although this will be an informational experience you also want ti to be exciting and fun. To ensure that you are headed down the right road, here are a few tips to get you started.
1. Budget - Make sure you know your wedding budget. You don't want to fall in love with a place only to find that it's beyond your spending limit.
2. Date - The first thing you need to ask of any venue is do they have your date available. If the date you have chosen has no specific meaning try to have an alternate date.
3. Guest Count - You may not know your exact count but have a good approximate in mind.
4. Plan B - If you are having an outdoor ceremony and reception make sure you have a plan b. You don't want to be caught in the rain and no where to go.
5. Location - If your ceremony and reception are held in two different locations consider the distance between the two, you don't want to end up having to rent transportation for your guest which will cost you additional.
6. Get A Planner - Based on what you have told your planner about your desires she/he will ask all the right questions plus some you didn't think of. Your planner will save you time on visiting a venue that does not meet your criteria.
7. Vendors - Find out if the venue has a preferred vendors list or can you choose your own vendors. You don't want to have a specific vendor that you want to use and can't.

Venue Tips That Save
Have
you picked your wedding date? Is it a
date with special meaning? What if you
had the opportunity to choose a date that would save you a significant amount
of money? Nearly every venue has a high
and low season. Depending on the region,
winter and late summer are usually less than fall and spring. Talk it over with your family and remember
the venue wants to fill the calendar.
I
know, you want a Saturday evening so you can bathe in happiness on Sunday. Not to worry, you can still soak but how
about having your celebration on a Thursday or Friday evening, Saturday brunch,
or anytime on a Sunday. You can save
approximately 20% and most times have the same choices as a Saturday evening. If you are open to the idea and the sales
manager does not mention it your planner will.
If
you do not have to have your ceremony in a church, temple, or sanctuary look
for a venue that can accommodate the ceremony and the reception. You will save on decorations, second rental
fee, limo costs, and your guests will save on transportation.
You
want to wow your guests with a gorgeous venue and beautiful tables, however,
your budget does not allow for you to splurge on linens. Do not fear.
If you can’t splurge on the tablecloths splurge on the napkins and/or
use table runners. If you have the right
planner/designer they will still be able to wow your guests with quality
napkins that are color coordinated with the event.

life. Because it goes so fast you want
to capture every moment. You want your

His & Her Fingerprints
Put your fingerprints on each others wedding band or a special piece of jewelry
Instead of the traditional ring pillow try a small box, a bible / sacred family book,
or a ring pillow made of flowers
Ask your venue would they put the seating in a circle so everyone can see everything
Take a memorable photo or frame mementos from your wedding
for a memory that will last a lifetime
Let your bridesmaids help you down the aisle
by writing a personal message on the bottom of your shoe
