Adding A Twist To Your Response Cards

Traditionally the response card has the number attending, your guests choice of meat, and/or if they will be attending.  Let's not follow tradition and add a twist to your response card.  Let your guests have a little fun and fill in the blanks.  That's right, fill in the blanks.

Create a little story on your response card incorporating a way your guests will advise if they will/will not be able to attend your wedding.  To save on expense don't be too wordy.  You don't want a card as big as or bigger than your invitation.  Make sure it's quaint and "cute".  Sit with your fiance', decide on something and most importantly have fun doing it.

Feathers In Your Wedding

Looking to add a little flair to your wedding?  Try adding feathers to your theme.  Feathers can be that pop of color so to speak.  Add them to your tables, dress, or instead of a bouquet.  Depending on how used, feathers can give you a vintage, modern, or classic look.

How about having your flower girl throw feathers instead of flowers.  Sprinkle the feathers with glitter for a beautiful effect.  Create a holder filled with a bed of feathers for your wedding rings to be carried on.  Of course you can always add feathers to your hair.  What if your bridesmaids carried a fan of feathers instead of a bouquet.  The list can go on and on so whatever you choose make it you and make it fun.

The Year of the Non-White Dress

Last year was just a glimpse of the start of the non-white dress.  Yes, brides are becoming bolder and forgetting about the old tradition and creating their own.  The designers have recognized and definitely not afraid to cater to the needs of the daring.  From the soft pastels to the deep bold hues, just like white your choices are endless.

Puttin' on the Glitz

Bling and crystals were a big part of the wedding trends in 2012 and with the weddings that I have booked for 2013 I have found that is still one of the trends for the year of 2013.  The sparkle is still there.

Romantic chandeliers, eye popping shoes, drop dead gorgeous wedding gown, and ring with plenty of fire.  No matter what the choice or how much you decide to use, it will be beautiful, breathtaking, and bobblely.

More Emerald Green

In keeping with Pantone's color of the year, Emerald Green, this color is great for any event.  Don't just think weddings.  It is definitely a wower for your special event.  Because of it's rich dark color, many think winter.  Not so.  Emerald Green can be paired up with many colors; silver, grey, red, champagne, lavender, lemon (soft yellow), aqua/turquoise, and of course white just to name a few.

Don't be afraid to experiment.  Get a sizable swatch of Emerald Green and match it up with other colors and remember to try patterns, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the look.

Emerald Green - Pantone Color For 2013

Thank you Pantone for Emerald Green, one of my favorite colors.  I am waiting for the day that I will have to design an event or wedding with Emerald Green as part of the combination of colors.  Although I have my own ideas, I have pulled some looks that I think will get you started in the right direction.
