And the Pic of the Week

Although very dainty this gorgeous setting can definitely be used for the sweetheart table.  Your groom may be a little reluctant with all the roses but this is simply divine.  The bling gives it that extra sparkle that every couple looks for.

Wine & Friends: Host A Wine Tasting At Home

Wine tastings are not just for the elite anymore.  They are for those that like wine, want to try wine, and just want to have fun.  And you don't have to worry about looking for a swanky hotel or wine shop to host your soiree, your home will do just fine.  With just a little planning and some shopping a wine tasting can be less expensive than that dinner party you were thinking of having and equally as much fun.

There are several ways you can host your wine tasting but for me, the less complicated the better.  I gave a tasting a few months ago and my guests and I had a blast.

I chose an array of cheeses, fruits, crackers, nuts, and dips (my event was in the evening so I did not need to prepare dinner).  I had two glasses per person along with note paper and pen so each person could make any remarks thay had about each wine.

I invited a total of seven and asked them to bring two bottles of wine.  One they were familiar with and enjoyed, and one they always wanted to try or did not have any knowledge about.  I also had my two bottles.

This allowed me to have some extra $$ to purchase my snacks and a better wine.

When I purchased my wine I consulted with the wine shop owner on how we should proceed.  He advised we should start with light to dark, make our notes, and go to the next wine.  I also went on line and found some tips on what we should be looking for.

We had fun with the swirling and smelling although not a single one of us knew what we were doing.  The bottom line; it doesn't matter what it cost, what it looks like, or how it smells.....it's about what your taste buds like.

Now, Let's Get Inspired!
