Vendor Booking Guidelines

There are so many details involved when planning your wedding.  Lately, I have gotten clients that are having their wedding in six months or less and has not booked one vendor, not even the venue.  No worries, it can be done.  However the couple must be flexible.    In order to avoid the pressure and if time permits, here are some guidelines on when you should start booking your vendors.

You've gotten engaged, picked your date, and decided on your budget.  Start booking your vendors now.

  • 12 Months Before Your Wedding - Ceremony & Reception venue, wedding planner.
  • 10 Months - Photographer, caterer, florist, and videographer
  • 9 Months - Band and/or DJ
  • 8 Months - Guest Accommodations, officiant, stationer (save the dates), select wedding dress
  • 7 Months - Baker, select Bridesmaid dresses, travel consultant
  • 6 Months - Stationer (invitations stationary), rentals, select hair stylist, select make-up artist
  • 5 Months - Groom & Groomsmen attire, accessories, transportation
  • 3 Months - Favors, wedding rings
