We, planners, consultants, and bloggers, always cater our attention to the brides. What about the mothers/step-mothers of the bride and/or groom. Without further ado, this blog is for you.
1. Although both sets of parents may be contributing to the wedding, moms are now invited to do certain tasks within the wedding that are selected by the couple.
2. Instead of the parents of the groom paying for the rehearsal dinner, the couple may ask both sets of parents to do this allowing both moms to co-host.
3. Moms are also now co-hosting the bridal shower with the bridesmaids. They are helping to plan the details and they get listed on the invitations.
4. In the past moms were very conservative. Now, moms are shopping in the popular fashion forward boutiques, showing a little skin, and wearing bright and bold colors that are becoming to them.
5. Gone are the days when moms were only escorted down the aisle. Today, they are walking with the bride alone or together with the bride's dad.
